Rob is the founder and Managing Director of Ashanti Capital. Rob was also part of the founding team at ReOrient Financial Markets in Hong Kong where he was based for five years. Rob was Managing Director in the Equity Capital Markets team focused mainly on capital raising activities for Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australian listed equities & private investments. In 2015, ReOrient was acquired by Yunfeng Capital- Jack Ma/Alibaba. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Rob spent four years in Perth working for Macquarie Bank and Argonaut (Corporate Finance & Institutional Sales).
Cameron is an Associate Director and part of the founding team at Ashanti Capital. Cameron has extensive skill and experience advising on capital raisings, having been a key team member on a large number of IPO’s and secondary market capital raisings. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance. Cameron is currently a Non Executive Director of ASX listed Plukka Ltd (PKA).
Eric De Mori
Corporate Finance: Head of Natural Resources
Eric is member of the Ashanti Capital Corporate Finance team as Head of Natural Resources. Eric brings over 15 years experience to Ashanti in microcap corporate finance and advisory, specialising in natural resources, biotechnology and technology. Eric led the first silicon valley reverse takeover listing on the ASX, which grew its market capitalisation from $5m to a valuation of over $700m. Eric also brings a wealth of experience in capital raisings, asset identification and divestment structuring, and has been a Board member of numerous ASX listed technology and resource companies.
Carmie has over 15 years experience in corporate finance, stockbrokinga and institutional sales. He has been a integral part of the Ashanti institutional sales desk servicing Australian and Asian accounts while expanding the business into offshore jurisdictions. With a track record of raising capital, he spent over 10 years in equity capital markets for a UK based boutique advisory group and Macquarie Bank in Australia. His time at Macquarie was focused on capital market delivery for institutions and natural resource clients, since then significant experience has been garnered with international private equity and development finance institutions. Carmie is a cross border specialist who has also spent time in various private company roles ranging from CEO to board memberships.
Office Manager and Executive Assistant
Julia is a founding member of the Ashanti Capital team and works as our Office Administrator. Julia has over 5 years’ experience providing administrative support within Accounts and Payroll teams at a leading National recruitment firm. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia with a double major in Political Science/International Relations & History .
Steve is a member of Ashanti’s Institutional Sales team servicing Domestic and Asian Institutions, family offices and high-net worthindividuals. Steve has over 10 years’ experience in stockbroking and corporate activity with a particular focus on small to mid-cap companies in the resources, energy and tech sectors. Steve’s most recent role was with Morgans Financial where he was responsible for a range of capital initiatives and portfolio management. Steve hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and has further qualifications in Margin Lending and Superannuation.
Tom is a member of the Ashanti Capital Corporate Finance team. Tom brings ~10 years’ experience in mining and equity markets and specialises in valuations, project generation and analysis, corporate advisory, and capital raisings. Tom has previously held operational and consulting roles where he gained experience on a range of mining projects across multiple commodities and jurisdictions. More recently, Tom was the WA Research Analyst at Morgans Financial where he covered a variety of ASX listed mining and industrial companies. Tom holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (Hons) from West Australian School of Mines (Curtin University).
With over 10 year’s experience in the financial services industry, Duncan commenced his broking career at Blackswan Equities before being acquired by Euroz Securities in 2014. Duncan specialises in small to mid-cap stocks, providing advice and trade execution for high net worth individuals, institutions and corporate clients, while also assisting in transaction structuring and raising capital. Before stockbroking Duncan worked for natural gas trading company Magnus Energy in Dallas TX where he was responsible for purchasing gas from independent producers, provided a variety of services including researching reliable market options and evaluating pipeline alternatives for customers. Magnus Energy was acquired by Shoreline Gas (Itochu) in 2010.
Ben has over 10 years’ experience in the mining and finance industries and specialises in mining equities research. Ben previously worked as an investment analyst at Resource Capital Funds, a mining focused private equity firm. Prior to working with RCF, he worked in various technical and production roles with Barrick Gold and Gold Fields at the Granny Smith and Darlot gold mines. He holds a double degree in Extractive Metallurgy and Applied Chemistry from the Western Australian School of Mines and Curtin University, and completed post graduate studies in Applied Finance through RMIT University.
Chris started his career in 2010 joining EQ Financial, primarily working as an Investment Manager looking after HNW individuals and family office clients. For the past 7 years Chris has been an Investment Advisor at Wilsons Advisory (Wilson HTM) in Sydney. During this time Chris continued to partner with HNW and family office clients advising them on Australian equities particularly in small and mid-cap exposures across multiple industry sectors. During his time at Wilsons, Chris also advised institutional clients including domestic multi-strategy funds, long only funds and global small cap specialists.
